Here are few ways to treat Puffy eyes
1) Try some eye cream to reduce the problem.
2) Tapping puffy skin gently helps encourage circulation and drainage of the built up fluid.
3) Applying a cool pack to your eyes can help reduce puffiness.
4) Placing cucumbers or grated potato slices on your eyes can help relax and reduce puffed eyes.
5) Soak a cloth in cold milk and place pads over your eyes for 10 minutes. This can help brighten dark circles under the eye and also help reduce puffiness.
6) Drink water until you simply can’t stand it anymore. Avoid beverages with artificial sweeteners that can make puffiness and bloating worse.
7) Ensure a good night’s sleep regularly.
8) Apply a little hemorrhoid cream right under your eyes if you need to go out in public, as this may help reduce temporary swelling quickly.
9) Apply an ice pack. It may reduce swelling.
10) While going out in sun, wear sunglasses. Exposure to sun can increase swelling.

Early morning puffiness sometimes looks very alluring and nice. But they may also cause problem when they continue even long after morning. This condition called puffy eyes is something which affects women and also men nowadays. Puffiness or fullness of the skin under the eyes can be due to a number of causes. If mild, this fullness are usually temporary and don’t require medical treatment. But many times puffiness can also be triggered by an allergic reaction to food, dust or pollen, or due to an allergic skin rash elsewhere on your face. If the allergy isn’t treated, this temporary puffiness can be long drawn.
Some of the causes of puffy eyes are:
- Changes in body’s fluid balance such as due to weather changes, travel or hormone fluctuations.
- Hangovers also produce puffy eyes in some people.
- Drug induced hypothyroidism can also cause puffy eyes.
- Puffy eyes due to allergy or dermatitis is accompanied by itching or redness.
- Sometimes fluids get trapped in the tissues under the eyes. Usually the eyes are puffiest when you awake. Puffy eyes can also be a sign of sinus and allergy problems.
